If you are planning a family holiday to the Americas then we have some great suggestions for you. Many of our holdays are privte, meaning you travel in your own vehicle. This allows you to stop whenever you want for as ong as you want giving you and your children much more freedom.

If you are looking for a wildlife holiday then a cruise around the Galapagos Islands is probably pretty much perfect as there are lots of things to see and do and everything is catered for during your trip. If however you would prefer to stick to dry land then perhaps and eco-lodge in Costa Rica would be better. Even the younger children can feed the hummingbirds or go on a canopy walk as well as looking out for some of the rarer jungle inhabitants.

If scenery is more you thing then perhaps a trip down to Patagonia to see the glaciers, the wild seas and the jagged mountain peaks at the end of the world. Or perhaps visit Brazil and combine a trip to the Amazon rainforest with some time on the beach then onto the stunning Iguassu Falls? Really you are spoiled for choice across the Americas.

If beach time is what is required then both Brazil and Costa Rica have some fabulous family friendly resorts with lots of facilities including watersports, kids clubs and some operate on an all inclusive basis. Both are famed for their huge white sandy beaches lapped by warm crystal clear blue seas. Some resorts are larger with more facilities some smaller and quieter – just let us know which you prefer and we can offer you a wide selection.

If lots of adventure and activities are more your family’s cup of tea then the Americas have everything you could wish for and then some! Please Note: Malaria zones in the jungles and altitude sickness in the high Andes can be an issue but we have plenty of other places that are suitable for younger children.
